Allah, in Islam, is the One and only God, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Muslims believe that Allah is eternal, all-knowing, and all-powerful, with no partners, children, or equals. He is compassionate and merciful, guiding humanity through His revelations and messengers, such as Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The essence of Allah’s oneness, known as Tawheed, is the foundation of Islamic faith, emphasizing that He alone is worthy of worship. Through the Qur'an, Muslims learn about His attributes, such as justice, forgiveness, and love, which inspire believers to live with sincerity, humility, and devotion. Allah’s presence is not confined to any place or time, as He is close to His creations and attentive to their prayers.
Allah is One and Unique:
"Say, 'He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent.'" (Surah Al-Ikhlas, 112:1-4)
This verse highlights Allah's absolute uniqueness and independence.
Allah Alone Deserves Worship:
"And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:163)
This verse underscores that only Allah is worthy of worship and devotion.
Allah is Incomparable:
"There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing." (Surah Ash-Shura, 42:11)
This verse affirms that Allah is beyond comparison and unlike any of His creation.
Allah is the Sole Creator and Sustainer:
"Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs." (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:62)
This verse emphasizes Allah's role as the sole Creator and Sustainer of the universe.
Allah's Eternal Nature:
"He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He has full knowledge of all things." (Surah Al-Hadid, 57:3)
This verse highlights Allah's eternal existence and omniscience.
